Vestry & Officers of the Parish
The vestry, which is made up of our rector and nine parishioners elected by the parish, is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation, to support the church's mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances. In addition, the vestry is led by two wardens elected from the vestry membership. The senior warden is responsible for helping the rector lead the parish and for leading the parish in between rectors. The junior warden has responsibility for church property and buildings. The vestry also elects a clerk and a treasurer, who need not be members of the vestry.
