Parish Life at Saint Andrew's
Saint Andrew's is a parish of warmth, inclusion, and an increasing awareness of our responsibility towards those who are struggling to survive in the very shadow of our buildings. The Parish membership is a diverse group of educated, creative, open-minded persons — an eclectic group of dedicated people who care deeply about Saint Andrew’s and her place as a reflection of God’s grace and mercy by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and action. Unique opportunities abound for all to be a part of this loving, caring, inclusive and diverse congregation.
DAughters of the king
The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. Members have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. The DOK is an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church and churches in communion with it. The DOK membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches.
Organized in 2010, the Saint Andrew’s chapter is growing in faith and numbers. Current activities include intercessory prayer, monthly rosary, and hosting a monthly after Mass social hour.
Episcopal Church Women
Episcopal Church Women (ECW) are women of various ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds who hold a variety of views. However, the common denominator of our members is love of God and the wish to do His work. ECW provides opportunities for fellowship, for worship and to do God’s work through support of mission projects and outreach ministries. Saint Andrew’s ECW promotes a stronger spiritual life, a personal servant ministry and involvement in the life of the Parish; as well as service to the Parish, the community, the Diocese, the nation and the world within each of our members.
