Holy Baptism
with water and the holy spirit ...
Our prayer book describes Baptism as "full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church" (BCP 298). Furthermore, the "bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble" (BCP 298).
Generally, we seek to baptize new believers into Christ's Body on those days in our church calendar when, through history and tradition of the Church, it has been seen as "especially appropriate" to gather at the font for baptisms. Specifically, those services are the Easter Vigil, the Day of Pentecost, All Saints’ Day or the Sunday after All Saints’ Day, and on the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday after the Epiphany).
If you are interested in being baptized or having a child baptized, please contact our church office to set up a time to discuss baptism with our rector.
